As a Dublin business owner and a proud father of a rising high school senior, I share the same joys and challenges as many of you. My wife and I own and operate Joya Studios, a business deeply rooted in Dublin, where our commitment to the community runs deep. From a young age, my parents instilled in me the belief that hard work, guided by heart, is essential for leading a healthy, happy, and purposeful life. Their dedication to improving the lives of others has inspired my every step.

My journey in business began with a national retail electronics chain, where I gained valuable experience. I then transitioned into real estate, successfully operating my own business. However, in 2014, I made a life-changing decision to become a fitness entrepreneur. Alongside my wife, I opened a yoga studio in Livermore. Over the past ten years, Joya Yoga has grown into a thriving regional operation with studios in 4 East Bay cities, including a corporate location in Dublin, with more on the way. Building Joya Yoga has provided me with a profound understanding of the challenges small business owners face and a deep appreciation for the essential role that small businesses play in fostering a community’s economic well-being.

In addition to running a successful business, I am actively involved in our community. As a three-year board member of the Dublin Chamber of Commerce, I have played a significant role in supporting Dublin's businesses and fostering local economic growth. Serving as Chair of the Chamber Board in 2023 deepened my understanding of our business community’s needs. I also serve on the DHS Athletic Booster Club board, ensuring our student-athletes have the funds they need to compete.

My commitment to our community is unwavering. I will work tirelessly to keep our parks green and well-maintained and ensure our police and fire departments receive the support needed to keep homes and businesses safe. As we extend Dublin Boulevard into Livermore, I will protect our interests by fostering a welcoming environment for new business growth on the proposed extension while also preserving open space.
